Crosslexic is a tool that lets you solve those elusive words in crossword puzzles. Knowing only the length of a word and a few characters inside it, Crosslexic will scan through its dictionary looking for words that match these characters in their known positions and produce a list of matching words. This is ideal for solving crosswords puzzles. It’s also called cheating! You could use a Thesaurus or even the Unix Grep command, however a rich personal vocabulary will always serve you better in life. But sometimes one comes so close to solving a Crossword Puzzle that it is almost criminal to leave it that way. That is why I wrote this – to keep the peace. Features: Search for words up to 20 characters in length. |
